Annual Report 2025
SIAE closed 2025 with a historic result: €1.022 billion in turnover, surpassing the one‑billion‑euro threshold for the first time in its history. A milestone that confirms the solidity of the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers and the effectiveness of the modernization path undertaken in recent years.
More value for rightsholders
In 2025, SIAE distributed €849 million, marking a 15% increase compared to 2024.
Music payment frequencies were doubled, from two to four per year, with quarterly distributions allowing rightsholders to receive royalties more quickly. Thanks to improved internal efficiency, the average commission dropped from 16% in 2013 to 13.7% in 2025, with significant reductions also for live events and digital services.
A digital transformation that simplifies and accelerates
This achievement is the result of the 2023–2025 Industrial Plan, which has steered a profound technological and organizational evolution.
Faster processes, advanced digital services and AI‑based tools—including EVA, the virtual assistant that handled over one million messages in 2025—have helped build a simpler, more accessible ecosystem, closer to the needs of authors and publishers.
The SIAE+ app recorded 225,776 deposited works, while self‑service tools continued to grow thanks to the “Zero bureaucracy, 100% digital” strategy.
A growing creative community
As of 31 December 2025, SIAE counts 125,744 members and 29.7 million protected works: a cultural asset that highlights the Society’s ability to broadly represent the Italian creative world. Internationally, its protection network spans 199 territories, with 300 foreign agreements and 446 local offices across Italy.
Per Chi Crea and support for young talents
The Per Chi Crea program, promoted by the Ministry of Culture and managed by SIAE, continues to support the new generation of artists.
In the latest cycle, 331 beneficiaries under 35 received funding totalling €10 million, while €14.5 million is allocated for 2026. An additional €5.4 million is dedicated to other social, cultural, and educational initiatives.
New skills for the SIAE of the future
Digital transformation goes hand in hand with a deep evolution of internal skills: recent years have seen 300 departures and 150 new hires, including AI engineers, data specialists, and digital negotiators—some recruited through AI‑focused hackathons.
A look toward 2030
Crossing the one‑billion‑euro mark is not a finish line but the beginning of a new phase.
SIAE has launched its 2030 strategic plan, aiming for €1.1 billion in collections and a further reduction in commission rates, with the goal of becoming a digital platform built on trust, transparency and innovation.
