For your music at work, all you need is a plan
With the Ambient Music license, available with an annual or seasonal plan, you have access to the entire national and international music catalog managed by SIAE as Music at work for your venue or business.
How to use music at work in your venue or business?
To start using music at work, activate your subscription by contacting the nearest SIAE office.
If you already have a subscription and need to renew it, contact the SIAE office, or if the details of your subscription have not changed, you can use the MAV you received via PEC.
How much does the subscription cost?
The subscription price is determined by the copyright fee for the authors and publishers of the works, which depends on various factors, such as:
- Number of devices used for music distribution/reproduction
- Type of devices used (radio, TV, etc.)
- Type of business
- Duration of the subscription
Remember that for the distribution of music, related rights are also due to the producers of the phonographic supports and the performing artists of the tracks. For some types of businesses, SIAE also collects related rights on behalf of the rights holders.

Useful Information
- If you have a music streaming subscription legitimately used to play music at work in a commercial establishment, you will still need an ambient music license from SIAE.
- The Ambient Music license only covers music played in the venue as music at work: for music used during private parties or performances and concerts, other licenses are required (Private Parties and Entertainment Events).
- There are also tariff reductions for members of trade associations that have signed specific agreements with SIAE.
